President's Message

SFAPOA Members,
 
The SFAPOA will be hosting a fund raising event in response to the recent senseless and brutal beatings of three elderly victims by groups of violent youth, which occurred in the Bayview District.  One of the victims, Huan Chen (83 years old), died as a result of the cowardly assault.

Chen was using public transportation after visiting his wife, who resides in a convalescent home.  The funds raised by our event will go to his family to help with the burial expenses and to help with the medical expenses incurred by the other victims. 

Additionally, we will donate a portion of the funds to a Youth Center (to be determined) in the Bayview area, for education in hopes of preventing future senseless assaults on the helpless and the vulnerable.  Please do your best to attend the fundraiser.
