Also, we need Mah Jong players to attend an event hosted by AsianWeek, one of our new community partners. Here's the details:
Hi Community Members and Leaders,
The AsianWeek Foundation is pleased to be partnering with Cathay Post #384 for FREE, fun and informal night of mah jong! For those who always wanted to learn how to play, or are already pros, ALL are welcome! We want to make this a fun networking event and would love to invite you and your organization's Executive Directors, leaders, and members to attend. We think this will be a great opportunity to play mah jong and at the same time get to know each other better. We encourage those that attend to bring flyers and brochures promoting their respective organization, and to feel free to make a brief announcement discussing their organization and upcoming events.
For groups that would like to attend, we would like to make you our community partner for this event. Please let me know if you are interested and send me your logo so we can include it in an electronic flyer we will be creating. We will also be making this an open potluck and request that attendees if possible bring an item to share - soft drinks, water, snacks, chips, etc.
Cathay Post has approximately 9 Mah Jong tables, meaning only 36 people will be able to play at a given time. Attendees will be asked to be courteous to other guests and be open to taking turns and rotating out.
