If any member is interested in marching, please email me so that we can get a headcount. Members families are also invited to march with us as well. There will be a dinner following the parade for all members and their families.
We are in the process of securing parking and transportation to and from the parade. We will have more information later on, and will email the info out to all.

5th Vice President SFAPOA
As the year of 2017 almost comes to an end, the SFAPOA has just learned of the passing of Herb Lee, the first Asian American, to join the San Francisco Police Department.
Herb Lee was an inspirational role model for many Asian Americans who in later years followed in his footsteps in getting into a career as a police officer in San Francisco.
Herb Lee will be missed dearly and may he rest in peace knowing that his ground breaking legacy of having more Asian Americans in policing has continued on.
Funeral services for Herb Lee are on Saturday, November 11 2017, at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary (500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City, CA 94014). The viewing will be at 1000 hours and the services will be at 1100 hours.
The SFAPOA encourages our members (past and current), including our friends, to attend if you can to pay tribute to a local pioneer for the Asian American Community and show your support to his grieving family.
This years annual Cherry Blossom Festival is being held the weekends of April 8,9 and 15,16. The hours are from 1000-1800. President Zhang is attempting to get people who want to work the event detailed if staffing is allowed and if the powers that be approve it. That being said, there is no guarantee that you will be detailed. We are taking a poll to see who is interested in attending. If it is your day off you can still come, however, there is no overtime given. Attire is class B for the day.
Please reply no later than next Monday, March 20th so that we can plan accordingly.
